About the Position: To support Fort Sam Houston and AR 350-52 Army Support system (area of responsibility) in the training, development, sustainment, and regeneration of units for combat. Perform management of Training Aids, Devices, Simulations, and Simulators (TADSS). Develop and maintain a customer- oriented culture, set expectations of quality, provide a motivating climate, help solve problems, remove obstacles, and deliver high-quality performance.
Duties
The incumbent directs and oversees the Future Operations Branch (FUOPS); serves as principal assistant and subject matter expert to the Chief, Operations Division
Provide administrative and policy direction concerning overall priorities and objectives for the Branch.
First line supervisor performing a range of supervisory responsibilities.
Incumbent is knowledgeable of Army Doctrine, Design and Operational concepts.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
- This position may require the incumbent work non-standard work hours.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes a) guide professional, highly technical personnel in an office with responsibility over establishment of high complexity and administrative policies.; b) establishing technical and administrative policies.; c) wide range of technical concepts, including practical knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and the Army Design Methodology (ADM).; and d) Resolve issues utilizing cross functional teams such as across the global enterprise, facilitation of senior leader decision making forums and an inherent knowledge of Installation Management Command (IMCOM) business practices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
