About the Position: To support Fort Sam Houston and AR 350-52 Army Support system (area of responsibility) in the training, development, sustainment, and regeneration of units for combat. Perform management of Training Aids, Devices, Simulations, and Simulators (TADSS). Develop and maintain a customer- oriented culture, set expectations of quality, provide a motivating climate, help solve problems, remove obstacles, and deliver high-quality performance.

Duties

The incumbent directs and oversees the Future Operations Branch (FUOPS); serves as principal assistant and subject matter expert to the Chief, Operations Division Provide administrative and policy direction concerning overall priorities and objectives for the Branch. First line supervisor performing a range of supervisory responsibilities. Incumbent is knowledgeable of Army Doctrine, Design and Operational concepts.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
• This position may require the incumbent work non-standard work hours.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
