You will serve as a DATA ANALYST in the Commander, Navy Reserve Force, Force Data Office/Emerging Tech of COMNAVRESFOR.

Duties

You will act as the government liaison coordinating with contractors and military civilian analysts. You will develop and prepare data pipelines for projects both internal to the organization and for external organization through memorandum of understanding to meet analytic need of the Navy Reserve. You will provide continuity of procedures and training requirements to staff of rotating military personnel. You will conduct complex data analytics that identifies, forecasts and/or estimates trends and future outcomes. You will prepare reports, charts, advanced visualization and narratives for senior level presentation and briefings.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, or Operational Research is highly desired.
  • A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Designing, implementing, and managing data management solutions. Knowledge of data collection/acquisition, ingest, cleansing / wrangling, transformation (Extract, Transfer, and Load (ETL)), and data analysis methodologies to enable and optimize data analysis and statistical assessments. Using coding languages (eg., SQL, VB Script, and Java Script) to enable data engineering, data analysis, and data science solutions. Using analytical tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Java Script libraries, database platforms) to prepare data pipelines, report data in various formats, and automate manual tasks. Analyzing and presenting data, using presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI) to effectively communicate results.
