About the Position: You will serve as a Supply Management Specialist performing Property Accountability and Control, and providing the commander with 100% accountability and control of all Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) nonexpendable property belonging to three Unit Identification Codes (UICs): Headquarters, U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (USACIDC), U.S. Army Crime Records Center (CRC), and the Tenant Support Unit (TSU).
Duties
Monitor operations to ensure compliance with governing regulations, internal control systems, and appropriate supply management concepts.
Conduct logistical coordination at various command levels to determine special requirements.
Provide policy guidance and direction to subordinate supply techs and Storage Location (SLOC) managers.
Provide authoritative advice and assistance on supply systems, requirements, procedures, requisitions, and policy to ensure understanding and compliance with requirements and regulations.
Advises the commander and other key staff members on equipment issues relating to the Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) and Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) changes.
Monitor, review, and direct lateral transfer of equipment within and in some cases outside of the commands span of control.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the employee to possess and be able to maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
- Required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program) and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- LAUTENBERG AMENDMENT: This position authorizes the employee to have access to firearms and ammunition. Any person who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence cannot lawfully possess a firearm or ammunition.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Position is Non-Critical Sensitive (2).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: apply supply management concepts in areas of property book officer management, inventory management, and storage management, provide assistance on supply systems and procedures, and conduct logistical coordination for the command. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
