You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (M1), Total Force of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY.

Duties

You will provide expert level, timely and accurate guidance and advice to supervisors, management officials and HR professionals throughout the BUMED HRO and serviced medical facilities regarding matters associated with assigned Work/Life programs. You will analyze and evaluate program execution within the BUMED HRO; identifying areas requiring redress and initiating solutions for remediation. You will develop, implement and evaluate assigned civilian Work/Life programs. You will analyze significant Work/Life issues/problems and develops recommendations and solutions for implementation. You will serve as lead for HR program assessments for the BUMED HRO including OCHR, DOD, OPM, MedIG or Joint Commission Accreditation of Hospital assessments. You will receive congressionals from OCHR HQ or BUMED, reviewing and identifying issue appropriate HRO office and staff member to coordinate research and response and will ensure response is reviewed and approved within designated time frames.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is a local remote approved position. Selectee must be located within the commute area of the command upon entry to duty.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience, interpreting, applying and providing advice on federal human resource (HR) programs such as staffing, classification, LER, workforce development, or work life; Experience, drafting HR instructions, operating procedures, processes, formal letters or policy; Experience, implementing complex factfinding, analytical/problem solving methods/techniques and provide recommended solutions for complex, novel or new HR programs or issues; Experience, analyzing and presenting data to analyze/identify findings and trends; AND Experience, interpreting written and/or oral instructions; developing and presenting HR training.
