The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first-level supervisor in the Key Systems Elements and is accountable for all product support matters regarding performance and supportability.
Duties
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
Plans, organizes, and oversees the product support planning and management activities of acquisition and sustainment for assigned Air and Ground COMSEC and Key programs, projects, and systems.
Leads an LCL Integrated Product Team (IPT) for product support execution.
Oversight of the Air and Ground COMSEC Product Support functions.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence related Special Sensitive information.
- Involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

Qualifications
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: This position works under the general administrative supervision of the Chef, Air and ground COMSEC Product Support Section. Develops the product support strategy for a system or program of national significance. Work involves providing a package of support functions required to field and maintain readiness and operational capability for a weapon program in support of the Air and Ground COMSEC Product Support Section Chief's life cycle management responsibilities. NOTE: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions and program applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; systems acquisition process, and all aspects of life cycle logistics management; and must understand the specific impacts of mandated acquisition training and development program policies.
2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of Air Force Strategic Operations for the 21st century (AFSO21) principle to identify problems and generate innovative solutions.
4. Skill in stratifying resources against approved programs; planning, presenting, and executing budgets; analyzing budget impacts on programs; forecasting long term funding requirements; reviewing, evaluating, and presenting data; and supporting analysis of logistics management programs and activities' specialized documentation, etc.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the staff of an organization including special study teams and task forces composed of members from different organizations and commands.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
