About the Position: This position serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. This position has promotion potential to the GS-09 and may be filled at either the GS-05, GS-07, or GS-09 grade level.

Duties

Assist with management of a foreign military sales program from initial planning through case closure. Perform logistical review verifying costs and delivery forecasts of major and non-standard materiel. Prepare summary reports which provide program and system status. Contact customers and supply sources to obtain accurate information to resolve pricing discrepancies. Update databases for the managed supply lines in accordance with regulatory guidance.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Percentage of time to be spent Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 10%.
• The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position's SCW certification level.

Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the management for foreign country cases; using established techniques to gather information in analyzing/resolving logistical problems; and extracting data from supply and financial databases to determine cause of problem or action to be taken. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
