You will serve as the Deputy Inspector General in the Assistant Chief of Staff, G-7 (Inspections, Assistance, and Investigations) Inspector General Office of USMC RECRUITING COMMAND.
Duties
You will perform or lead inspections, evaluations, and investigations and make recommendations for Command decisions that impact operational readiness and compliance of the organizations(s) involved.
You will serve as an advisor to the CIG and the CG, MCRC on inspection and IG investigation matters.
You will have supervisory responsibility for leading and overseeing the CIG office staff, assigning work, developing priorities, monitoring work progress, determining, allocating, and managing resources.
You will participate fully in both program and personnel management functions of the section acting on his/her own initiative in directing the day-to-day operations of the team.
You will initiate, lead or investigate issues and inquiries as directed by IGMC, into allegations of misconduct, impropriety, fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement.
You will seek legal counsel from an attorney authorized to practice in the applicable area of law.
You will oversee, plan, and execute the MCRC Unit Inspection Program (UIP).

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, researching, and conducting investigations and inspections to provide analysis and make recommendations on broad-spectrum operational and management issues; 2) Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze the effectiveness of administrative and technical programs that affect an organization's mission; 3) Developing and implementing policy, regulations, and guidance related to Inspector General actions, environmental compliance, and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations; 4) Documenting findings and preparing written executive summaries and formal inspection reports to present recommendations to high-level officials; and 5) Communicating orally with senior management officials (e.g., General/Flag level staff, politicians, civilian leaders, and program officials) to brief, negotiate, justify, and/or defend recommendations to improve program efficiencies.
