Duties
Serves as a Supervisor within the DLA, Information Operations (J6), Program Executive Office (PEO J62), Defense Automatic Addressing System (DAAS) to lead Application Programming Interface, API Gateway implementation and sustainment initiatives.
Plans, designs, tests, implements, and performs application support, customer support and program management oversight and integrating various Government/Commercial Off the Shelf tools, and applications and Automated Information Systems (AIS).
Drive agency-wide and multi-agency IT modernization initiatives in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Application Program Interface (API) and API Gateway.
Analyze applications, systems, evaluate alternatives and design and document solutions, and potential problems with leveraging cloud capabilities.
Develops acquisition strategies to provide the best value for the customer and to sustain modernization projects.
Analyze customer experience approaches (e.g. strategies, roadmaps, playbooks) that represent best practices in the federal government.
Provides program management oversight for the integration of sub-systems into the current DAAS infrastructure ensuring efficient integration capabilities to permit operability with managed standard/non-standard AISs.
Oversees and directs new data integrations and technical enhancements for DAAS are plugged into the architecture as needed to support emerging customer mediation and messaging requirements.
Ensures that all initiatives effectively and efficiently meet customer requirements and conform to DLA technical architecture guidelines and other J-6 policies.
Ensures the architecture incorporates a combination of open source, COTS and GOTS products that securely handle the internal and external messaging, routing, and data transformation requirements across the DoD enterprise.
Identifies, tracks, and assesses standard metrics for IT Solutions processes, provides guidance to subordinates, and ensures support is provided in joint technical and management reviews and in RFP development for acquisition of AIS software.
Provides guidance and support to subordinates in joint technical and management reviews and in Request for Proposal (RFP) development for acquisition of hardware, software, or services.
Performs as Contracting Office Technical Representative (COTR) and expert in the knowledge and procedures necessary for coordinating and evaluating timelines associated with acquisition process of IT services...

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Leading team of IT Specialists who are directly responsible for detailed project planning and management, such as; preparing size and cost estimations, work breakdown structures, requirements analysis, determining critical computer resources, and leading system engineering teams.
Exploring new approaches for software and associated tools and developing advanced management techniques relative to overall technical design and structure, ongoing support, maintenance, enhancements, migration, policies, and procedures.
Serving as a subject matter expert through consulting with customers to determine requirements, explore solutions, and deliver high business impact solutions in an iterative, agile process.
Planning, designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintenance and customer support of Automated Information Systems (AIS), including logistics transaction processing applications, logistics metrics, and reporting processes and applications.
