You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the FINANCE OFFICE, CODE 10000 of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.
Duties
You will be responsible for staff support, competency development and processes.
You will supervise trainees and associates from the Financial Management Career Program, Financial Competency Intern Program, Naval Acquisition Development Program, Pathways students, and other developmental employees.
You will determine financial management information needs and makes recommendations, and develops and monitors financial systems and programs to assist the serviced financial managers in fulfilling their responsibilities.
You will be establishing performance objectives in accordance with STRL principles and guidelines; evaluating subordinate's work, recommending awards and promotions, approving leave, and mentoring, coaching, and counseling subordinates.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: In depth working knowledge and experience with Navy Working Capital Fund accounting policy and process; Skilled in planning, assigning and directing tasks; Resolving work problems and ensuring sound fiscal management and monitoring of resources;; Skilled in analytical methods and techniques and making recommendations regarding financial issues; Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience in developing and presenting briefing material and ability to mentor and develop human resources in a diverse and virtual work environment.
