You will serve as a GG-0132-13 All-Source Intelligence Specialist within the Nimitz Warfare Analysis Center at the Office of Naval Intelligence. The Selectee is responsible for producing all-source analysis, evaluation, collection, interpretation, and disseminate information related to developments in naval operations and tactics that pertain to Russia. This position is located in Suitland, MD.

Duties

You will communicate effectively orally and in writing, to include the capability to convey complex operational, technical, and/or political-military concepts, and develop and effectively employ multimedia presentations to this end. You will evaluate, interpret, and integrate all-source intelligence and open source information into top-level assessments. You will effectively apply extensive knowledge of advanced research methodologies and analytical techniques and/or collection management systems to complex work assignments. You will expertly evaluate and integrate all-source intelligence information to produce/contribute to tailored intelligence products in response to customer requirements. You will interact with senior intelligence community/industry/other analysts and/or experts in assigned discipline(s)/focus area(s) and coordinate effectively with foreign counterparts. You will utilize knowledge of intelligence collection, collation, research, and production and their respect roles in Service level intelligence production.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as: 1. Apply advanced research methodologies and analytical techniques to evaluate, interpret, and integrate all-source intelligence. 2. Develop and employ multimedia presentations to convey complex operational, technical, and political-military concepts to executive level audiences. 3. Produce and contribute to tailored intelligence products in response to customer requirements. 4. Identify intelligence gaps, prepare or satisfy collection requirements, evaluate and facilitate reporting from collectors, and provide guidance/feedback.
