The candidate selected for this position will:

• 1-year probationary period required unless met during prior Federal service

• You may undergo a personnel security background investigation

Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the announcement closing date. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the private sector formulating, justifying, and executing the budget for an organization or program; consulting and advising stakeholders in the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of budgets; providing authoritative advice and guidance on budget strategies; preparing and coordinating executive level briefings related to the formulation or execution of a budget program. Examples include: deciphering accounting information for use in budget execution; preparing written summaries to support the budget formulation process; and managing position ceilings and personnel, compensation, and benefits spending for assigned program areas. Time-In-Grade Requirement:  In order to be eligible for this position, all current Federal employees must provide proof of meeting the time-in-grade requirement (i.e., at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service).  This information must be in both your resume and on an SF-50.  Those who do not provide proof of having met the time-in-grade requirement will be deemed ineligible for this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
