This position is located in The Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolic Diseases (DDEMD) which provides research funding and support for basic and clinical research in the areas of type 1 and type 2 diabetes and other metabolic disorders, including cystic fibrosis; endocrinology and endocrine disorders; obesity, neuroendocrinology, and energy balance; and development, metabolism, and basic biology of liver, fat, and endocrine tissues.

Duties

Provide analytical and administrative support to the Director and division staff. Identify and implement appropriate methods for obtaining and analyzing information. Present recommendations for additional evaluations or suggestions for procedures that should be pursued to improve the overall effectiveness of the division’s administrative staff in meeting organizational objectives. Coordinate scientific project support from current program analyst staff which includes distribution of duties, oversight, and project management. Develop and maintain internal databases for tracking and budget purposes Responsible for effective onboarding of new staff within the division and ensure new staff have access to all necessary materials and online systems.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: administrative experience demonstrating project management and oversight; fostering collaboration with other analysts and subject-matter experts to adapt and implement strategies to deal with specific challenges and issues; analyzing and evaluating effectiveness of organizational programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives; coordination of technical, administrative and organizational support for grants administration, which include, but not limited to, conducting budget analysis, planning and execution, grant management, review, award, and post-award program management; recommending to senior management new or modified developments, priorities, and objectives to improve the organization's program performance.
