About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Logistics Integration Directorate. The referral list(s) generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in other organizations throughout the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) in Warren, MI.
Duties
Collects, analyzes, and evaluates logistics data or coordinates the effort of experts in data collection and analysis of Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+), Prognostic and Predictive Maintenance (PPMx), and Fleet Management data sources.
Provides advice and guidance on policy and procedural requirements to acquisition managers and personnel of functional areas involved in the assignment.
Performs detailed studies and analysis across functional lines with differing data sets for projects, problems and special projects covering a broad spectrum of logistics support and material management functions.
Evaluates and assesses equipment readiness goals and objectives, develops and assesses a variety of alternative courses of action to impact program goals and evaluates program interrelationships.
Establishes and maintains liaison with other organizational elements, command organizations, higher headquarters, AMC community, etc., in order to ensure all actions within the assigned program are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Provide technical advice and guidance to all internal and external customer on maintenance policy and procedures at the tactical and strategic level.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Reviewing logistics programs to identify problems and recommend alternative policies; AND (2) Monitoring the effect of functional specialists as to requirements being met as scheduled; AND (3) Developing relationships with program managers to coordinate logistics management.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
