About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located with US Army Intelligence And Security Commamd, Acofs, Resource Mgmt, Program And Budget Division, Headquarters, Budget Team at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Duties
Perform analysis and evaluation of programmed versus actual budgetary execution for the attainment of program objectives.
Apply a wide range of knowledge of budgetary procedures and techniques in determining budgetary requirements, defining policy, interpreting and applying regulations to budgetary execution to the organization and its higher-level officials.
Monitor work activity and results, provides advice and assistance, and trains other budget analysts within the organization.
Performs liaison and coordination with representatives of various government agencies and elements within USAINSCOM.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Position requires approximately 25% travel in the performance of duties.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management
- Certification Level 2: Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. (See Additional Information Section)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
