You will serve as the Corporate Operations Deputy Department Head for NAVSURFWARFCTR PANAMA CITY DIVISION.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-6 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Duties
You will provide continuous high-level advice on policies, goals and objectives and in formulation and implementation of polices that impact the entire Command.
You will serve as the first-line supervisor to the Business Operations (10B1) staff.
You will provide direction to a technical organization to influence, motivate and challenge others.
You will provide accountable leadership and guidance in the application of Department of Defense, Navy, and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) mandates to meet corporate compliance.
You will develop an organizational framework to the department to include human, financial, materials, and information resources in a manner that instills
public trust and accomplishes the organizational missions.
You will collect, organize, and analyze corporate data to make sound business decisions using objective quality evidence.
You will develop long-range departmental strategic business plans in alignment with DoD, Navy, NAVSEA, Warfare Center, and Local Command direction.
You will systematically apply new methodologies and technologies to improve processes in business operations.
You will implement departmental business initiatives to maximize efficiency and expediency.
You will assist the Department Head in directing the staff to deliver innovative, professional, and customer-focused support services, program strategies, and products.
You will assist the Department Head with managing the direction, products, services and performance of the department to ensure alignment with the organization's mission.
You will implement and facilitate the NSWC Panama City Division Strategic Campaign Plan.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-5 pay band (GS-13 and GS-14 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a wide range of analytical and evaluative techniques to manage an organization's business operations functions.
