This position is part of the Defense Media Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for variety of projects to include the acquisition of supplies and services, the provision of information technology (IT), telecommunications, transportation, conferencing, office equipment and associated supplies, repairs, maintenance, life-cycle replacements, and upgrades.
Duties
As a Program Support Specialist (Resource Management) at the GS-0301-9 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Maintains appropriate office rosters and contact information.
Provides resource analyses, identifies issues, and recommends solutions.
Conducts studies, performs specific tasks, and projects, and makes recommendations to management for improved methods, procedures, and processes.
Serves as liaison, coordinator, and/or point of contact (POC) for a variety of meetings, conferences, training sessions, etc.
Makes arrangements for conferences between staff elements of the office and other internal DMA elements or external organizations.
Coordinates availability of facilities, audio-visual equipment, teleconference arrangements, presentations, handouts, read-ahead materials, security and visitor access.
Participates in a variety of miscellaneous support services such as work to develop office resource policies, plans, and procedures regarding records management, file system, and workflow, as well as other office resource matters.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-09, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service:
Managing, reviewing, updating, and developing administrative office resource policies, plans, and procedures that affect the orderly and efficient flow of work within the office and with parties and agencies outside the organization.
Provide technical assistance and advisory services to the HR staff regarding human resources topics such as employee recruitment, staffing, classification, benefits, entitlements, compensation, employee relations, and associated processing.
Performing variety of meetings, conferences, training sessions, etc.
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.) OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100% to qualify an applicant for that grade level. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
