The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory IT Program Manager responsible for managing and directing major USMS information technology projects to include the full range of evaluation, design, training, and implementation of applications systems. This position is located in the Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System / Kansas City, Missouri.

Duties

As a Supervisory IT Program Manager at the GS-2210-14 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following: Analyzing and refining systems requirements. Translating systems requirements into applications prototypes. Planning, designing, and documenting systems, database, and applications architecture. Developing IT guidance and policy, and providing technical advice to management and systems users. Supervising a staff of IT Specialists. Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

• This is a Testing Designated Positions (TDP) and is subject to random drug testing.
• May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probation period.

Qualifications

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit Promotion and Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA) Status applicants must provide an SF50 Notice of Personnel Action that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF50 must include the position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, type of service (Competitive or Excepted) and career status (career or career-conditional). Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: Implementing IT enterprise architecture plans that address mission-critical program objectives; Assisting with managing and directing IT projects consistent with industry standards; Analyzing business requirements to develop IT solutions; Providing technical advice and assistance on IT programs to users and management; and Managing competing workload priorities for a team of IT Specialists, support staff, and/or contractors.
