About the Position: These positions are under the supervision of the Combat Service and Combat Services Support Readiness and Sustainment (R&S) Directorate and the Ground Combat Support R&S Directorate. The referral list(s) generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in other organizations throughout the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) in Warren, MI.
Duties
Coordinate the activities of a multi-functional team to support new acquisition, sustainment, and repair program requirements.
Assign work, provide technical advice and guidance, review work, evaluate quality and provide training to team members.
Represent the team with management, higher headquarters, Department of the Army and other customers through meetings, briefings and correspondence.
Facilitate team meetings, set team goals and objectives, develop strategies, evaluate customer needs, reengineer team processes, evaluate customer satisfaction and team performance, develop plans to improve team performance and meet customer needs.
Evaluates Logistic status/readiness of assigned system(s) and takes corrective action for existing or foreseen problems.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
Qualifications
Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or detail NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army Employee. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year, if the candidate is not a current permanent Army Employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years. Employees on temporary appointments will be separated once the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) Date is reached.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing logistical support and guidance on maintenance procedures or engineering change proposals; providing technical assistance in the operation, testing, or maintenance of field equipment; resolving field problems through technical research or investigations of materiel deficiencies and malfunctions; utilizing logistics databases (such as LMP/Powerlog-J/COMPASS) to determine maintenance trends, input provisioning data, updates, or data extraction for weapon systems; and developing maintenance Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements List, or National Maintenance Work Requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
