This position is part of the Department of Energy, Office of Environmental Management - Richland Operations Office. As a Program Manager, you will support the Assistant Manager for Mission Support, Infrastructure and Services Division, managing pioneering programs and subordinate projects such as decontamination, decommissioning or construction of major facilities, waste management, environmental restoration, site infrastructure, and regulatory negotiations for RL.

- This position requires the incumbent to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
- A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check.

- This position requires the incumbent to obtain a Level 2 certification from the Project Management Career Development Program within two years of selection to the position.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (GS-14): A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-13, in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Evaluating program/project management functions to ensure scheduling principles and contractual requirements are in compliance.; AND
Developing execution plans to analyze risk associated with the performance and planning data of contractors program/project baselines.; AND
Applying program management activities to review progress and results to participate as a subject matter expert in a variety of program assessments.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
