The Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Environmental Management - Office of River Protection is looking for a dynamic, innovative, seasoned executive to lead the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (AMWTP) at the Office of River Protection.As the Assistant Manager for Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project you will:
Qualifications
The application process used to recruit for this position is the RESUME BASED method. EXECUTIVE CORE QUALIFICATIONS (ECQs): The five (5) ECQs described below were designed to assess executive-level experiences and potential not technical expertise. They measure whether an individual has the broad executive skills needed to succeed in a variety of SES positions.

5: Building Coalitions: Ability to build coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies, State and local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals.
MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs): As part of your application package, asupplemental narrative must be uploaded addressing each MTQ listed below. No more than one (1) page per MTQ is allowed; additional informational information will not be considered. MTQs must provide specific examples that address relevant experience and accomplishments. Applicants must reflect superior technical qualifications demonstrated through leadership and management in the following MTQs.
Failure to submit a narrative statement addressing each of the MTQs may cause your application to be deemed incomplete and not be considered.
MTQ 1: This position requires knowledge and experience in managing and directing large technically complex nuclear and/or highly technical non-nuclear projects (such as gaseous diffusion plants, environmental site remediation, and facility decommissioning, decontamination, and demolition projects) using rigorous project management and performance standards to include areas of design, construction, component and system testing, commissioning and/or operation of complex, first-of-a-kind facilities and/or environmental cleanup activities. Provide a relevant example of your leadership of projects of this, or analogous, nature and problems you resolved while leading this type of project using effective leadership and project management principles.
MTQ 2: This position requires proven experience in establishing constructive relationships with high-level officials representing the project and organization to Congressional members and staff, other federal agencies, State Governments, Tribal Governments, industry leaders, and citizen or advisory panels. Provide relevant examples of your leadership of large capital projects, or analogous activities, and your actions to build and sustain broad stakeholder support.
