Duties
Monitor clinical workload as it pertains to the medical facility.
Analyze current and projected health needs and services to determine the appropriate staffing levels, capabilities, and capacities to support the health requirements.
Serve as leader, advisor, coach, and mentor to support staff, administrative officers and group practice managers.
Gather data, perform analysis, and produce products and reports related to higher headquarters inquires and directives.
Initiate, develop, and implement procedures to monitor the internal capabilities of the organization.
Plan and assign work to be accomplished, review and evaluate operations, and establish priorities and schedules for work.
Advise and encourage training and development of staff to meet both organizational and professional goals.
Develop and implement changes to internal procedures, policies, and organization of work to improve workflow, customer service, and productivity.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and managing health care programs; monitoring facility performance and preparing reports; and coordinating with clinical and administrative leadership on healthcare administrative policies, programs, and operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
