You will serve as a IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) in the NAVFAC Information Technology Center (NITC) of NAV FAC ENG AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CTR.
Duties
You will provide advisory services to the installation regarding plans and policies, problem areas, program requirements, and methods of accomplishments.
You will serve as an organizational subject matter of contracting, projects and policy.
You will be responsible for technical writing and editing of technical documentation.
You will serve as the IT specialist responsible for accomplishing technical, analytical and advisory functions.
You will perform command level evaluations of highly complex network and/or telecommunications equipment or software.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Product Supt Mngr code 803 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: : 1) Performing technical writing and editing; 2) Determining the needs of end users of technical documentation; and 3) Organizing and writing supporting documents for IT support functions or tasks, business systems and/or applications. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
