This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Assistant Commandant for Resources - CFO (CG-8), National Pollution Funds Center (NFPC), Resources Management Division, Programs Branch, Washington, DC.
Duties
As a Government Information Specialist (Records Management) you will develop, implement, and manage new or existing programs, policies, and processes that deal with the dissemination and collection of NFPC information and/or official records. Qualifications
GS-12: Qualifying experience for the GS-12 level is one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal sector. Examples of Specialized experience includes: implementation and management of a Records Management program both paper and electronic media; proper scheduling of all records including the safe disposition, storage and handling; experience which requires the knowledge of records policies and laws regarding the release, dissemination, and collection of information.
GS-13: Qualifying experience for the GS-13 level is one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal sector. Examples of Specialized experience includes: implementation and management of a Records Management program both paper and electronic media; proper scheduling of all records including the safe disposition, storage and handling; experience which requires the knowledge of records policies and laws regarding the release, dissemination, and collection of information; managing information protected by National Archives and Records Administration, PII, FOIA, and the use of electronic media.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
