About the Position: Serves as the education coordinator for the Preventive Medicine Branch section and training instructor for the Principles of Military Preventive Medicine Course (CORE, Clinical Track, and PMOPS), Infection Control in the Deployed Environment Course, and the Sexually Transmitted Disease Intervention Course and other specialized courses as assigned in support of the Preventive Medicine Branch and Division of Public Health Services.

Duties

Coordinates course materials and presents lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises in Public Health to provide knowledge and skills essential for Army Medical Department Officers. Serve as the Administrator and Nurse Planner for Continuing Health Education (CHE) credit for all Preventive Medicine Branch courses which include Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Nurse Education (CNE) units. Collaborates with both civilian and military subject matter experts in Public Health, Infectious Disease, Laboratory Science, and Infection Control to develop and maintain current training programs and courses.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, education, instructional design, or training and development. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
