About the Position: This position supports the Defense Health Network Central office, assisting with the daily operations and execution of the aligned Treatment Facilities. This is an intermediate management position that provides oversight and support to the Treatment Facilities (MTF) aligned to it to ensure the delivery of integrated, affordable and high-quality healthcare to beneficiaries in accordance with the Defense Health Agency's (DHA) priorities.
Duties
Interpret policies and/or regulations to devise processes for implementation across multiple medical facilities.
Prepare briefings to present analytical data or proposals to leadership, such as high-ranking military, civilian officials, and/or local officials.
Execute financial and manpower processes to ensure compliance with agency requirements.
Utilize business analysis concepts to foresee problems to implement preventative strategies.
Ensure quality systems management by applying assessment and/or analytical processes.
Provide oversight on policy development in support of the organization's mission.
Collaborate with high-ranking military, civilian officials, and/or local officials to accomplish healthcare delivery objectives.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Up to 5% Business Travel required.
- This position is designated as Key. For positions located within the Continental US (CONUS), the position cannot be vacated during war or national emergency without seriously impairing the mission.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Developing policies in response to regulatory revisions or directives; 2) Analyzing healthcare operational data to make operational recommendations; AND 3) Interpreting policies to identify the impact to healthcare delivery procedures.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
