This position is part of the Agency Support Operations, Government Publishing Office in Washington,
District of Columbia.
Duties
Oversees functions pertaining to the assessment of technological development.
Initiate studies and projects to effect cost reduction, product improvement and work simplification.
Evaluate potential risks in the supply chain, improve processes, security, accountability, reduce cost and simplify workflow.
Provide oversight that all regulations are adhered to.
Conduct Personnel Management.
Requirements
- You must be a current Career or Career Conditional GPO employee to apply.
- Selectee must successfully pass pre-employment prior to appointment.
- Selectee may be required to serve a one year probationary period.
- TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. Applicants must have served 1 year at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service to qualify
- U.S. Citizenship is Required.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist, PG - 1910 - 14 , you must meet the following requirements:
To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level PG-13 (or equivalent) level or higher. Specialized experience is defined as:
1) Reviewing written quality or inspection procedures for adequacy, and evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection systems, including sampling plans;
2) Analyzing quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality/inspections system;
3) Reviewing and evaluating supply systems operations and procedures through periodic audits and surveillance inspections;
4) Leading or supervising staff members engaged in providing complex product quality services, such as printing and binding, or supply chain for production materials and office items.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used or this grade level.
