This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing,ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - QUALITY. As a/an Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be participating in the continuous improvement efforts and providing advisory assistance to the entire Bureau on a wide variety of quality related production, customer service, and information technology issues.
Duties
As a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist, you will:
- Provide knowledgeable staff to coordinate and facilitate external ASQ/ANSI/ISO 9001(current version) audits of the BEP.
- Report on the performance of the Quality Management System.
- Recommend and aid in the implementation of any need for improvement.
- Provide input to the Quality Management System Review (QMSR) promoting continuous improvement decisions necessary to maintain an effective QMS.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-14 is one year (52 weeks) of experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent, in the public sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:
-Performing Quality Assurance practices and principles in a manufacturing facility; AND
-Performing work in accordance with the Quality Management Systems Requirements ASQ/ANSI/ISO 9001; AND
-Performing work in accordance with the Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems ASQ/ANSI/ISO 19011.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
