You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the Staffing Department of OCHR NORFOLK OPERATIONS CENTER.
Duties
You will serve as a Processing Expert processing complex pay action and conduct review of personnel actions from HR assistants.
You will review personnel actions for accuracy (e.g. appropriateness of regulatory authority and remarks), resolve discrepancies and missing information.
You will perform research on complex processing topics and the impact of implementing and processing personnel actions IAW settlement agreements.
You will ensure processing staff is consolidating, updating, and uploading of documents in a timely manner to employees' e-OPF.
You will process a full range of recurring types of official personnel actions such as accessions, separations, position and pay changes.
You will utilize HR information systems such as Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and interface with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) to analyze and resolve issues.

Qualifications
GS07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience assisting with coding a range of HR personnel actions for compensation and employee benefits to support identifying problems and appropriate course of action towards resolution.
Experience with consolidating employee records to update currently processed personnel actions.
Experience utilizing automation human resource and workload management systems to verify information and assist in processing personnel actions.
OR- successfully completed one full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement.
OR- possess a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to 100% of the requirement.
