These positions are located in the Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights (OEJECR) and multiple Regional offices. The specific office will be determined at the time of selection.

Qualifications
We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-11 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-09 level defined as providing technical assistance on projects related to environmental justice and/or for communities with environmental justice concerns; and assisting in the development of trainings on environmental justice.- OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., in an academic discipline related to this position- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-11 level defined as developing and/or implementing projects and plans related to environmental justice and/or for communities with environmental justice concerns; drafting and delivering trainings on environmental justice; and advising on environmental justice issues.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations; 2) Skill in collaborating with team members; 3) Skill in written communication; 4) Skill in oral communication; 5) Ability to create training materials (i.e., presentations, guidance, etc.) for a variety of audiences; 6) Ability to apply contracting and/or grants management procedures; 7) Skill in project management; 8) Ability to use a variety of software programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
