Duties
Monitors and analyzes operational lessons learned, evolving concepts, doctrine, changes in the operating environment, transformational technologies, and other triggering circumstances.
Develop U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS) institutional transformation objectives into viable training products, materials, and programs.
Leads training development working groups and working groups that require analysis of the implications of new initiatives or changed conditions on institutional training and current training strategies.
Researches, analyzes, and evaluates usability of simulations, simulators, and computer gaming platforms for inclusion in existing programs of instruction to improve, enhance, or replace current methodologies
Develops training materials for course or cluster of courses in assigned subject field derived from a combination of education and experience and develops appropriate implementing documentation and enterprise approaches.
Planning, preparation, execution, or assessment of Psychological Operations functions.
Requirements
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Top SECRET security clearance is required.
- This is a drug testing designated position.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes educational design and/or training development, in an accredited civilian academic or military institutional setting, which includes analyzing specialized training and job performance requirements; individual task analysis and evaluating curriculum to deliver required knowledge, skills and attributes; establishing student performance metrics that meet requirements for a professional, technical, or degreed certification. Curriculum background in psychology, marketing, mass communication, sociology or anthropology, political science or international relations, social media, information operations or information warfare, civil affairs, public affairs, or other related influence capabilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
