You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the NAVFAC Information Technology Center (NITC) of the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING SYSTEMS COMMAND (NAVFAC).
Duties
You will review program operations to determine the effectiveness of established procedures.
You will plan the acquisition of critical information technology (IT) resources.
You will use capital investment information to manage portfolios and information technology (IT) spending plans or budgets.
You will develop strategic level policies, directives, or guidelines for the implementation of an organization's information technology (IT) master plan.
Requirements

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license to travel.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a government travel charge card (GTCC).
Qualifications
FOR GS 13
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Analyzing pre-award and post-award functions for IT contracts; 2. Administering IT contracts and commodities to ensure compliance with acquisition laws, regulations, guidance, and policies; 3. Utilizing and applying new techniques, technologies, and applications to influence IT policies and/or programs.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. NOTE: Your answers must be fully supported by the experience described in your resume to be considered for this position.
FOR GS 12
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1. Applying structured analysis principles and methods on meeting IT business and technical requirements; 2. Applying and interpreting technical requirements;
3. Formulating recommendations for meeting IT acquisitions requirements.Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
