About the Position: Ft Gordon is in Augusta, Georgia, home of the Masters Golf Tournament, and the Cyber Center of Excellence. It is approximately 142 miles east of Atlanta, 80 miles southwest of Columbia, South Carolina, and 122 miles northwest of Savannah, Georgia. Ft Gordon location offers close proximity to a metropolitan area, and is an easy drive from Atlanta, Savannah, the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean, and the mountains.
Duties
Review and interpret regulations, directives and reports pertinent to these functions.
Initiate and reconned actions to implement programs designed to provide optimum personnel support based upon analysis of higher echelon requirements.
Direct daily operations to ensure accomplishment of all required functions, e.g., military HR accounting, reports and administrative actions.
Prepare written instructions, procedures and special instructions to assign work or clarify published guidelines.
Establish performance standards and evaluates subordinates' work.
Review submitted personnel actions to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Coordinate issues and actions related to replacements, personnel actions, reliefs, awards, and evaluations with Headquarters USAREC G-1, Brigades and Battalions.
Plan and coordinate implementation/compliance of policy and procedural requirements in the areas of administration.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Reviewing and certifying qualifications and eligibility for vacant positions; interpreting and implementing quality control programs for processing of personnel actions in accordance with regulations and directives and analyzing organizational issues and proposing Human Resources strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Education
