About the Position: This position is under te control of the Supply Chain Integration Directorate. Operations Division.

Duties

Manages high impact, long term, command level, high visibility initiatives and projects associated with Predictive Logistics. Functional areas include Acquisition Logistics and Technology associated with Predictive Logistics programs. Assignments require extensive supply logistics and technology knowledge of the Predictive Logistics program that enables the incumbent to resolve existing problems and improve efficiency by developing and introducing new concepts and techniques. Plans and establishes both current and long-term objectives for the TACOM Predictive Logistics program. Ensures the development and execution of policies and procedures to accomplish assigned mission. Formulates plans through the interpretation and application of policies and regulations and collaborates with subordinate organizations and integrated product teams in developing and implementing necessary plans, policies and procedures. Reviews and recommends changes to command regulations and policies concerning CPC. Oversees the development of general equipment policy and procedures or major portions of regulatory or instructional documents which direct or guide implementation of command maintenance policy, procedures, and programs. Manages, oversees, tracks and reports the work efforts of a myriad of resources, both individuals and teams, working to improve existing products/programs or developing new products/programs in support of Predictive Logistics. Represents TACOM Predictive Logistics program and meetings conferences and on-site visits making decisions that can adjust overall policy. Establish and maintain liaison with key personnel in governmental agencies and support contractors to keep abreast of evolving technology in the areas of Predictive Logistics. Establishes and maintains close personal working relationships with Staffs and key personnel within their supported organization. Keeps the command informed concerning the mission, operations, and accomplishments as a vital part of the Army, and maintains cognizance and knowledge of actions in areas affecting or of interest to the command and the supported organizations.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be willing and able to travel at least 50% of the time for business.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position is Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Incumbent must meet the requirements for CAP at time of hire. Note: Acquisition Corps membership is no longer required for Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP).
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Applicant must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.

Experience in developing and briefing Senior Level Leadership (SES/GO level). Experience in analyzing reports and data collected through field missions, evaluates shortfalls, and strategically plan future requirements to enhance predictive logistics guidance, Predictive Logistics products, improve program internal processes, and to identify and develop TACOM Predictive Logistics technical resources. Demonstrated skills in project management of high visibility programs. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsLeadershipPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
