You will serve as a Program Operations Support Assistant (OA) of TNG AIR WING SIX.
This position will perform a variety of administrative responsibilities in support of instructor pilots and student pilots within the Squadron. The work of this position directly impacts the success of the command's missions and goals.
Duties
You will gather information for drafting correspondence and review and make necessary revisions to prepared naval and business correspondence in accordance with established instructions.
You will gather background information for preparation of personnel awards in accordance with Naval Awards Instruction via the Navy Decorations Awards Systems (NDAWS).
You will provide management with administrative support for audits, inventories, meetings, investigations, mishaps, incidents, and other related functions.
You will act as the Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA) and be responsible for requesting and reviewing documents for accuracy, signatures and required supporting documentation for a variety of military pay and personnel transactions.
You will create, review, and generate travel authorization orders for the command utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS).
You will ensure substantiating documents for expenses were submitted by traveler, proper allocation of funding was selected and submits requests to Certifying/ Approval Official.
You will maintain the DTS Budget Tracker for the current fiscal year ensuring travel does not exceed annual budget for the command.
You will initiate, review, submit and track all personnel security requests for military and contract personnel through the Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) system.
You will take and submit electronic fingerprints and track results of adjudication of investigation via the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS).

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative support duties for an organization (e.g., data input, customer service, data gathering, preparing reports, correspondence, maintaining files, and monitoring training schedules/progress) and using automated systems to accurately document and maintain records and/or materials.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of 4 academic years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree;
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
