You will serve as a SUPPORT SERVICES ASSISTANT (OA) in the ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT of NAS PENSACOLA.

Duties
You will assign work based on the direction of the Administrative Officer to employees and break out tasks as necessary.
You will inform employees about the policies, procedures, and practices of management as they relate to work of the unit.
You will proof and edit all types of correspondence and materials for accuracy prior to signature.
You will review all incoming correspondence to ensure routing to proper department for action.
You will provide direct support to the Administrative Officer by organizing, collecting, analyzing and presenting information related to the administration of the NASP Admin Office.
You will maintain a Recurring Reports Database for the command, providing departments/special assistants with a monthly printout of reports due.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing computer systems and software to prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, etc.; 2) Using office automation systems to type correspondence, screen visitors and phone calls, filing and records keeping; 3) Maintaining policies, publications and miscellaneous files for the office; and 4) Coordinating, compiling, reviewing, and analyzing information and data in support of departmental functions. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
