Duties

You will install, maintain, service, remove, repair, modify, assemble, manufacture, troubleshoot, test, calibrate, and operate various electrical equipment, systems, circuits, control devices, and components. You will manufacture, assemble, service, test, disassemble, refurbish, and reassemble of electrical equipment. You will lay out, fabricate, and assemble switch boards, control panels, devices, transformer assemblies, power circuit breakers, and other electrical devices. You will install control or safety devices on equipment, fabricate electrical assemblies, maintain logs indicating service information, condition, and location of temporary service equipment and ensure that equipment is available as needed. You will read/interpret wire diagrams and one lines to help troubleshoot electrical equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

  • You may be required to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
  • You may be required to climb ladders and scaffolding.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION.
