About the Position: This position is located with the NCO Academy on Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville. The cost of living is lower than the average for all major U.S. cities.

Duties

Serves as Supply Specialist for the Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Academy. Conducts hand receipt reviews for the NCO Academy and advise hand receipt holders on discrepancies. Serves as Budget Officer for the NCO Academy. Provides technical support for a logistics management operation.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • SECRET CLEARANCE - This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • DRIVER'S LICENSE - The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles
  • MODERATE TO HEAVY LIFTING - This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: ) applying supply principles, concepts and methodologies to perform work in the property accountability of supplies and equipment; 2) conducting inventory management, stock record accountability, and storage management for all accountable property; 3) providing training assistance and guidance to hand receipt holders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityBudget AdministrationInventory ManagementTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
