About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Duties

Serve as the Government Accountable Officer for Ammunition Supply Point services which include receipt, storage, issue, shipment and accountability for the installation's Class V supplies (ammunition, explosives, missiles/rockets and residue). Manage and account for the assigned ammunition, associated materiel, and Army Support Activity Stock Record Account records. Ensure all munitions stocks (including related components and packing materials/residue generated during the consumption of munitions) are properly accounted for and maintained. Monitor Ammunition Supply Point personnel to ensure forecasted training ammunition, munitions, and operational loads are requisitioned, received, stored, issued, retrograded, and residue processed. Approve/disapprove issue of ammunition; and certify residue is explosive free and determine destination. Use a variety of supply system automated reports/data to resolve problems and make improvements in warehouse procedures. Determine resource requirements (financial and manpower) and materials necessary to accomplish long-range work schedules. Analyze work plans and monitor the status of their work in relation to the overall schedule requirements, including unanticipated or emergency requirements.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.
  • This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
  • This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • The position may subject the incumbent to be on-call and work irregular work hours.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
