You will serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist performing duties as a System Administrator in the NAVIFOR, Farragut Technical Analysis Center, ACINT Department, Research and Analysis Division.
Duties
You will use knowledge and experience with IT to conduct all-source research, makes correlations, and perform trend, pattern, and link analysis to identify, assess, and document projections and estimates of future technical cyber threat scenarios.
You will prepare reports, studies, and briefings that demonstrate extensive technical analytical knowledge, advanced research methodologies, analytical techniques, and collection management capabilities.
You will provide support, administration, and maintenance necessary to ensure effective and efficient IT system performance and security.
You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain server and systems configurations (hardware and software) to ensure their confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
You will provide specialized and technical IT services within one or more of the following areas: policy and planning, security, Sys analyst., app software, operating sys, network services, data mgmt., internet, sys admin and Cust. support.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- This position may be subject to polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 45 level 02 within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:
1. Assist with routine investigation regarding IT systems, software and/or hardware problems.
2. Assist in assessing and developing system security processes and procedures.
3. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.

Education
