Duties

You will assist with planning, organizing, and ensuring equipment support complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. You will serve as a technical advisor regarding supply procedures during the procurement of material and services both afloat and ashore. You will analyze and proposes changes designed to improve effectiveness or efficiency of supply operations. You will conduct research on sourcing and procurement methods as required, depending on analysis performed. You will track and follow-up during turnover, activation, deactivation, acquisition, overhaul and operational phases.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Relocation expenses (i.e. PCS) may be authorized in accordance with applicable travel regulations
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: For the GS 09 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Experience with Navy/DOD supply policies, procedures, and standards including inventory management, commercial acquisition, transportation, physical distribution operations, and financial interfaces between the DOD Supply System, TRF AND IMA, Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) and mission funding. 2. Experience in applying complex fact-finding analytical and problem-solving methods and techniques to identity interrelated function problem and recommend solutions. 3. Experience with the use of government purchase cards and Command Financial Management System (CFMS) for initial and amended workflow documentation. 4. Experience with extracting information from Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP), Submarine Logistics Database (SLDB) and Logistics Database System (LDS). 5. Experience cooperating with others while working with multiple objectives. Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree

LL.B. or J.D., if related

Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
