You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the INVENTORY CONTROL BRANCH (TRF-514), CONTROL DIVISION STAFF (TRF-510), SUPPLY DEPARTMENT (TRF-500) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will direct subordinates in the conduct of all physical inventories, location surveys, audits and quality control checks of stock materials. You will develop pre-inventory procedures for researching discrepancies and initiate corrective action to facilitate the reconciliation of physical counts and in-processing transactions with record balances. You will plan the work on the basis of priorities, the complexity of the work, and the overall requirements of the assignments. You will establish performance standards for subordinates, giving advice, counsel, or instruction on both work and administrative matters. You will coordinate and conduct studies and analyses which address material accountability and supply operations effectiveness. You will analyze all post-inventory data to assess discrepancies and conduct necessary investigations of the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP). You will review material and document discrepancies to ascertain overall inventory trends and to determine net effect of these deficiencies on supply support operations. You will prepare all required reports relating to audit inventories and location surveys. You will direct the compilation of inventory and audit data, and prepare or oversee the preparation of periodic and special reports for distribution throughout TRIREFFAC and external activities.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Assignment may be made to any of three shifts as needed.
  • Some standing, walking, bending, and climbing is required.
  • Completion of specified training will be required.
  • Position is designated as Information Technology (IT) Level II.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpret and adapt Navy Instructions, regulations, policies, and procedures relative to supply operations and develops inventory/audit methods, schedules and timetables to be carried out by the employees. Initiate and coordinate inventory plans that are time and cost effective through utilization of techniques such as lot/segment design. Develop pre-inventory procedures for research discrepancies and initiate corrective action to facilitate the reconciliation of physical counts and in-process transactions with record balances. Analyze all post-inventory data to assess discrepancies and conduct necessary investigations of the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) and other supply management systems to resolve problems in organization, supply, storage, distribution and inventory control. Prepare and present all required reports relating to TRIREFFAC audit inventories and location surveys. Direct the compilation of inventory and audit data and prepare or oversee the preparation of periodic and special reports for distribution throughout TRIREFFAC and to external activities. Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
