Duties
Serves as the principal advisor and senior staff specialist in the Enterprise Infrastructure Application Support Branch, Enterprise IT Architecture Division, Technical Foundation Services (TFS), Enterprise IT Services (EIS).
Provides all Tier III support to all DLA sites and tenants under their control to help fix issues in a timely manner.
Performs analytical studies, program reviews, and performance evaluations of existing information system resources to determine adequacy in terms of design, criteria, and mission requirements.
Receives trouble calls from end-users, performs trouble-shooting or diagnostic routines and procedures, assesses the problem, determines actions necessary to resolve the problem, and takes those actions.
Develops daily operations and disaster avoidance support documentation related to DLA Technology Foundation Service information system configurations, hardware and software included.

Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC), your qualifications must include:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Provides services and support in the areas including, but not exclusive to: Systems Center OperationsManager (SCOM) administration; configuration, and maintenance; server hardware configurationbaseline standardization and management; disaster recovery planning and testing; maintaining propersecurity posture on all hardware and software within their control on the agency network; and StorageArea Network (SAN) hardware configuration baseline standardization and management.

Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
