About the Position: This position is located at the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Duties

Develops and monitors command's Affirmative Employment Program (AEP) Plan for the EEO program based on command needs and resources required to achieve measurable progress. Conducts on-site staff assistance visits to review installations' EEO program, progress and make recommendations for improvements in local programs and plans of action. Prepares command's annual multi-year AEP Plan Accomplishment and Update reports by conducting statistical analysis of work force data, conducting problem and barrier analysis, and measuring progress of objectives and actions items. Plans, directs, implements and monitors HQ, USASOC's one or more programs. Advises commanders, managers and supervisors on EEO and Affirmative Action.

Requirements

  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Temporary Duty/Travel may be 20% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04). GS-07: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing clerical work in support of a program area to include: assisting in completing reports in a timely manner; reviewing forms/cases for correctness of format; operating automated systems to complete work assignments. Experience in Compiling statistics and researching information on various aspects of programs. Responding to inquiries on the complaint process and operating automated systems to accomplish work assignments. OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Communications Studies- Public Relations. OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above.
