About the Position: Serves as an Equal Employment Specialist for the Installation Management Directorate (ID) - Readiness, responsible for the planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the IMCOM-wide EEO program.
Duties
Responsible for providing technical guidance and direction to the Equal Employment Opportunity programs for ID-Readiness and 24 garrisons and assigned employees.
Oversee, monitor, and administer EEO program activities.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a comprehensive EEO program is implemented at all levels within the Agency.
Advise Commanders and their staff at all levels on the effectiveness of the program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position requires the employee to travel away from the normal duty station, approximately 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience researching and utilizing the laws, regulations, policies and practices of a Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Program such as: Office of Personnel Management, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board, Civil Rights, EEO laws Code of Federal Regulations, Court decisions, Army Regulations and management directives to meet basic regulatory requirements for the solution of systemic problems, elimination of barriers to equal employment, and provision of management advisory and consulting services designed to effect major changes; conduct organizational studies/reviews and work force analysis to identify individual and systemic EEO problems and to meet and deal effectively with people of widely varying backgrounds as well as with management officials at all levels; and conducting training on EEO programs and processes.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
