About the Position: Serves as the training instructor for the Infection Control in the Deployed Environment course and other specialized courses as assigned, in support of the Preventive Medicine Branch and Division of Public Health Services, located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Establishes instructional designs, develops, and delivers training courses and provides training support to MEDCoE.
Planning and developing educational/training programs, evaluate results and use the findings to plan, develop and implement new or modified training programs.
Knowledge of Public Health Nursing principles, theories, and training methods sufficient to assist with management and instruction in Principles of Military Preventive Medicine.
Teaching methodology to plan and develop course material, lesson plans, present lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises in the areas of Infection Control in the Deployed Environment and Principles of Military Preventive Medicine.
Thorough working knowledge of a computer system and associated software including word processing, database, spreadsheets, graphics, to collect, store, retrieve, and prepare consolidated training and program activity reports.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes designing, developing, and delivering training courses and providing training support to the organization; developing educational curriculums, evaluate results, and using the findings new or modified training programs; providing advice and consultation on training programs related to, Information management, information technology, information systems, and network operations; AND preparing and managing course material, conducting classroom instruction, providing training assistance to instructors, and identifying changes that need to be made to existing courseware. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
