About the Position: This position is with US Army National Guard Bureau G-3, Readiness & Plans Division, Arlington, VA.
About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.
Duties
Develop and administer policy governing the establishment, maintenance, and disestablishment of unit readiness information to include readiness assessments and measurement of Army National Guard units.
Retrieve, assemble, and perform studies, surveys and analyses on readiness data to include personnel, equipment, training levels and their status to be used in Senior Army leadership briefings.
Establish procedures affecting documentation and maintenance, preservation, utilization, and disposition of ARNG records typical to the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Army applications.
Review directives and policy from Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Headquarters Department of Army (HQDA), National Guard Bureau (NGB) and other enterprise entities and provides verbal or written guidance to command activities and units.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Update readiness reporting policy, procedures and regulations using systems such as Unit Status Report (USR); conduct and present statistical readiness reporting data and information; utilize systems such as Defense Readiness Report System - Army (DRRS-A) or DRRS-S (Strategic), to maintain customer accounts.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
