You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DIVISION, CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will provide assistance, guidance, and oversight of information, physical, or operational security, foreign visitors, technology protection, Continuity of Operations, Emergency Management, and anti-terrorism and force protection. You will ensure personnel complete specialized training and briefings based on specific duties or responsibilities. You will collaborate with supervisor and compliance personnel to routinely validate the health and effectiveness of assigned programs. You will identify discrepancies and develop/execute a corrective action plan to resolve them in a timely manner. You will ensure that threats to security and security incidents pertaining to classified information and controlled unclassified information are reported, recorded coordinated with the proper authorities. You will investigate threats to ensure appropriate action is taken to mitigate damage and prevent recurrence.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 pay band (GS-09/10 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Administering security program requirements to ensure security regulatory compliance across operations. Education

Education can be substitutedfor experience as follows:

- successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree -OR-

- 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree-OR-- LL.M., if related to the work of the position to be filled.
