This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Audit, Assessment and Management (OAAM). The branch is responsible for grants management policies and procedures, recommending procedures to streamline and improve the grant-making process, business representation and requirements for grants management IT systems, and oversight and management of grants management operations contracts, such as the consolidated peer review contract.
Duties
As a (Supervisory Grants Management Specialist) you will be responsible for the following duties:
Supervises a group of employees performing work at the GS-14 level and below. Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
Leads, develops, analyzes, and oversees grants and financial management policies and procedures impacting a wide range of grant programs and grant management related technology, systems, and tools.
Reviews proposed program regulations and other policy issuances for conformity with department and agency policies.
Plans, develops, and implements program/project development activities that affect broad mission areas in grants management and grant management-related information technology.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Oversees grants management specialists engaged in the development of grants management information technology (IT) solutions,
Analyzes grants and/or cooperative agreement and financial management policies and procedures related technology, systems, and tools.
Oversees preparation of grants management regulations and/or assists program offices with the preparation of regulations that affect grants management activities.
