This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). OJJDP provides national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and victimization. The incumbent serves as the Associate Administrator providing leadership to ensure proper programmatic and fiscal oversight, planning, development, implementation, and assessment of OJJDP grant programs.
Duties
As a (Supervisory Grants Management Specialist) you will be responsible for the following duties:
Supervises a group of employees performing work at the GS-14 level and below. Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
Plans and manages grant and/or cooperative agreement programs and processes that encompass difficult and diverse functions or issues that affect critical aspects of major agency line programs.
Reviews past grant operation and process histories and known future requirements and determines future resource requirements, estimating short- and long-range personnel, budgetary, space, and equipment requirements.
Oversees and advises on grants and/or cooperative agreement administration matters including all pre and post-award procedures and policy interpretation.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-15 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Overseeing and directing the end-to-end grants and/or agreement administration process,
Providing expert advice on complex grants and/or cooperative agreement administration matters including all pre and post-award procedures and policy interpretation,
Leading or managing the full range of complex grants management activity and coordination with staff, and/or
Developing, implementing, and evaluating grants management program plans, strategies and operations.
