You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD D FT DETRICK MD.

Duties

You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing Medical and Dental Allowance Lists (AMAL/ADAL) for Naval Operational Forces. You will formulate alternative support goals to achieve program objectives. You will gather information, organizes and maintain information on information management systems. You will develop logistics requirements and determine demand plans, by applying forecasting techniques. You will use MS Office suite or similar applications to analyze data and prepare written communication for decision or information papers and briefs. You will minimize support costs, logistics footprint, and providing the user with the resources to sustain the system in an austere condition such as a shipboard environment. You will analyze and evaluate program documentation and equipment/systems design. You will need and know where or how to gather information You will organize and maintain information or information management systems

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assisting in technical analysis functions relating to the development of Authorized Medical and Dental Allowance Lists (AMALs and ADALs). Experience developing Medical and Dental Allowance Lists for Naval Operating Forces. Experience developing activity plans to identify action, schedules and responsibilities to ensure providing effective and support to the Type Commanders and Fleet Headquarters. Experience serving as the focal point for coordination of medical material support and resolution of problems encountered in operational medical environments. Experience scheduling, coordinating, and conducting individual Authorized Medical and Dental Allowance Review projects. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
